Pobi

Terms of Service

In effect from September 7, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Pobi. By making an account or using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use Pobi.

The short version, which the rest of this document only elaborates: Pobi is a planning and record keeping tool. It does not take wagers, hold money, or pay anybody out. It cannot make you money, and betting loses money for most people who do it.

How we handle your information is covered separately, in our Privacy Policy.

1. The agreement

Pobi is operated from Ontario, Canada. In these terms, Pobi, we and us mean the operator of the service, and you means the person using it. The service means the Pobi website, the Pobi app, and everything we provide through them.

These terms apply from the moment you make an account or use the service, whichever comes first.

2. What Pobi is, and what it is not

Pobi reads the profit boost promos your sportsbooks offer you, prices them against the odds on the board, suggests how a bet could be structured around them, keeps the record of what you placed, and grades it when the games finish.

Pobi is not a sportsbook, a bookmaker, a betting exchange, a broker or a licensed gambling operator. We hold no gaming licence and we need none, because we take no bets.

  • We do not accept wagers, hold funds, or pay winnings.
  • We never connect to your sportsbook account, and we never ask for the login to one. Anyone who does is not us.
  • Every bet is placed by you, in your own name, on your own account, at a sportsbook we have no relationship with.
  • Nothing in the app or in our marketing is financial, investment, tax or legal advice.

3. Who may use it

To use Pobi you must be able to say all of these:

  • You are at least 21 years old.
  • Sports betting is legal where you are, and you are legally permitted to take part in it.
  • You are not on a self-exclusion list, and you have not been excluded or banned by a sportsbook or a regulator.
  • You are using Pobi for yourself, not on behalf of somebody else and not for a business that takes bets.
  • We have not previously closed your account for breaking these terms.

Pobi currently serves Canada only. We may open other countries, and we may close a country if the law there changes.

4. Your account

Give us accurate details and keep them current. Keep one account, not several. Keep your sign-in to yourself: you are responsible for everything done through your account, and you should tell us straight away if you think somebody else has got into it.

5. We do not promise you will win

This is the most important section in this document. Pobi does not guarantee a profit, and nothing in the product or in our marketing should be read as one. Sports betting is gambling. Most people who gamble lose money over time, and using a tool to structure a bet does not change what a bet is.

Every number the app shows you is an estimate built from third-party prices and from our own models. Estimates can be wrong, out of date, or built on a price that has already moved. Results the app or the website shows, whether yours or anyone else's, describe what happened and predict nothing.

6. Prices, promos and the sportsbook's own rules

Odds and scores come from third-party data feeds. They can be delayed, incomplete or simply wrong, and a price on our screen is not an offer from anybody. The price you get is the price your sportsbook shows you at the moment you place the bet.

A promo belongs to the sportsbook that offered it. Its terms are theirs: the minimum odds, the maximum stake, the eligible markets, whether legs from the same game count, and how it settles. Check them at the book before you place anything. If a book voids, cancels, limits, refuses or resettles your bet, or withdraws a promo, that is between you and the book. We have no ability to intervene and no liability for the outcome.

7. Trials, subscriptions and billing

  • The trial. New accounts get 7 days free, or 14 days when you arrive through another member's invite link. We take a payment method before the trial starts, and the first charge happens when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
  • The price. $9.99 per month, or $89.99 per year, in the currency shown at checkout, plus any applicable tax. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it.
  • Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from the Billing tab. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and your access continues until then.
  • Refunds. Fees already charged are not refundable, and we do not pro-rate a period you cancel part way through. The free trial is there so you can find out whether the product is for you before paying anything.
  • Failed payments. If a charge fails we may suspend your access until it is settled, and we may close an account that stays unpaid.
  • Price changes. We may change the price. If we do, we will email you at least 30 days before it applies to your renewal, and you can cancel before then.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe directly and we never hold them, so a question about the payment instrument itself is one Stripe answers.

Nothing in this section takes away rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2002 (Ontario) or under any other consumer protection law that cannot be waived by agreement.

8. The referral programme

Every member gets an invite link. Somebody who signs up through yours gets 14 free days instead of 7, and once their subscription actually starts, we send you $5 by e-transfer. A person can be referred once, by one member, and a reward is earned once per person referred.

The programme is for inviting people you know. Referring yourself, making accounts to refer, buying placement for your link, spamming it, or presenting it as an offer from Pobi rather than from you are all grounds for us to withhold or reverse a reward and to close the accounts involved. We may change or end the programme at any time, and rewards already earned will still be paid.

9. Fair use and daily limits

Some parts of the app cost us money on every use: pricing a board, pricing player props, reading a screenshot, reading a typed message, and transcribing a voice clip. Each has a daily allowance. We may change an allowance, and we may throttle or suspend an account whose use is automated or is far outside what one person betting could produce.

10. What you may not do

  • Scrape the service, or access it through anything other than the interface we provide.
  • Resell, redistribute or republish what the app produces, including prices, slips and any data behind them.
  • Share your account, or sell access to it.
  • Copy, reverse engineer or decompile the service, or try to extract the models behind it.
  • Get around a limit, a rate card, a paywall or a security control.
  • Interfere with the service, probe it for weaknesses, or use it to attack anything else.
  • Use the service where betting is illegal for you, or for anybody who is excluded from betting.
  • Upload anything unlawful, or anything you have no right to upload.

11. Your content, and our app

What you log stays yours. You give us permission to store it, process it and show it back to you, which is what running the service consists of. That permission ends when you delete it or close your account, except for the copies described in our privacy policy.

The service itself stays ours: the software, the site, the design, the models and the Pobi name and marks. Your subscription buys you the use of it and no other rights in it.

Sportsbook names, league names and team names are the trademarks of their owners, and we use them to say which book or which game something refers to. Pobi is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any sportsbook, league or team.

12. Gambling responsibly

Bet only what you can afford to lose. If betting has stopped being entertainment, stop, and talk to somebody about it. Every sportsbook is required to offer deposit limits, time limits and self-exclusion, and using them is the fastest thing you can do today.

Help is free and confidential. Call 1-800-GAMBLER anywhere in North America. In Ontario, ConnexOntario answers at 1-866-531-2600, 24 hours a day.

If you want your Pobi account closed for this reason, write to info@pobi.bet and we will close it without asking you to explain.

13. Availability and changes to the service

We may change, add or remove features, and we may interrupt the service for maintenance or because a provider we depend on has gone down. We do not promise any level of uptime, and a betting market moves whether or not our site is up. Plan for the possibility that it is not available at the moment you want it.

14. Disclaimer of warranties

Please read this. The service is provided as is and as available, with no warranty of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory. That includes any implied warranty of merchantability, of fitness for a particular purpose, of non-infringement, and any warranty as to the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of odds, promo terms, projections or results.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

15. The limit of our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Pobi is not liable for gambling losses, for a bet that lost, was voided, was refused, was limited or was settled in a way you did not expect, for a promo that was withdrawn, for a price that had moved, for lost profits or lost opportunity, or for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim connected with the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, and one hundred dollars.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

16. Indemnity

If somebody brings a claim against us because of how you used the service, because you broke these terms, or because you broke the law or a sportsbook's terms, you will cover our reasonable costs and losses in dealing with it. We will tell you about the claim and let you take conduct of the defence where the law allows it.

17. Suspending and closing accounts

You can close your account at any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that we reasonably suspect of fraud or abuse, or that we are required to close by law, and we will tell you why unless telling you would itself be unlawful.

When an account closes, access stops and your record is deleted as described in the privacy policy. The sections on your content, disclaimers, liability, indemnity and governing law survive.

18. Governing law, and where disputes go

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict of laws rules. The courts of Ontario have jurisdiction over any dispute, and you and we both agree to that.

If you use Pobi as a consumer somewhere else, you keep the protections of your own home jurisdiction that cannot be taken away by agreement.

19. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. The effective date at the top says when the current version took effect, and we will email you before a material change applies to you. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms. If you do not, cancel and stop using the service.

20. The rest of it

  • The whole agreement. These terms and the privacy policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the service, and they replace anything said before.
  • If one part fails. A term a court finds unenforceable is severed, and the rest stays in force.
  • Not enforcing something. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we have not given it up.
  • Transferring the agreement. We may transfer it as part of a sale or reorganisation of the business. You may not transfer it without our written consent.
  • Notices. We send notices to the email address on your account, and you send them to the address below. Keep your address current, because a notice to a dead mailbox still counts as delivered.
